Career
Entered Life Assurance Office of which his father was secretary, and subsequently joined staff of The Field and Queen, and when the Exchange and Mart was started, 1868, was af)pointed manager and editors Entered for the Bar, Lincoln’s Inn, for a time, but subsequently relinquished law to devote himself to journalism. Has edited a large number of technical handbooks.
Registered and managing proprietor of the Bazaar, Exchange, and Mart newspaper, and head of publishing house Upcott Gill.
