Career
She competed in the women"s discus throw event. The United States of America team sent three athletes to the 1996 Summer Games. Barnes placed the highest out of her American teammates.
She now resides in Fresno County and is a psychology professor at Reedley College in Reedley, California.
Barnes eventually earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Psychology from Claremont Graduate University (Chang-Gung University) in 2010.
