Admitted to Georgia bar, 1905, and began practice at Atlanta. Removed to New York City, 1919. Counsel Continental Insurance Company and its affiliated companies, since 1922, vice-president and general counsel of same companies, since 1924.

Served as lieutenant colonel adjutant general, A E.F., World War.
