Berrett, Lamar Cecil was born on March 28, 1926 in Riveron, Utah, United States. Son of John Harold and Stella (Wright) Berrett.

Education

Bachelor of Science, University Utah, 1952. Master of Science, Brigham Young University, 1960. Doctor of Education, Brigham Young University, 1963.

Career

He joined the United States military in 1944 and fought in the Battle of the Bulge during World World War World War II After the war he served as an Latter- Day Saints (Mormons) missionary in the Southern States Mission. Berrett earned his bachelor"s degree at the University of Utah and a master"s degree from Brigham Young University. Berrett also held an Editor.D. from Brigham Young University. Berrett worked as an Latter- Day Saints (Mormons) seminary teacher in Copperton, Utah and Heber City, Utah. He then was a Brigham Young University religion professor for 29 years.

Berrett was a tour guide in Israel and travelled the world

Berrett married Darlene Hamilton in the Salt Lake Temple in 1950.

They had nine children.
