Career
He was stationed in Germany and Turkey with the United States Air Force. As an all-around entertainer in the United States of America, Lane performed in regional musical theater productions of West Side Story, A Chorus Lincolnshire, Tom Foolery, Sophisticated Ladies and Louisiana Bohèmedical McCray left the United States Air Force to pursue his musical career full-time.
lieutenant was in Saarbrücken, Germany where he met Melanie Thornton (1967–2001) when they fronted the cover band Groovin" Affairs, going on to form Louisiana Bouche.
As of January 2009 the new duo is working on new music and hopes to have that out this year. McCray has also gotten back in the studio to put the finishing touches on the debut solo album, Life in the Fast Lane.
He devotes some of his time to the support of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome victims through local, national, and international foundations. In September 2014, Lane released a new solo single "Heartbeat".
