Lansing R. Pollock was born on September 1, 1943, in Tacoma, Washington, United States. He is a son of Robert Pollock and Rhea (Olson) Pollock.

Education

Pollock graduated from Stanford University as a Bachelor of Arts with honors, in 1965. Five years later he received doctor's degree from University of Chicago.

Career

Pollock is an Emeritus Professor and author of two books - The Freedom Principle, published in 1981, and The Free Society, published in 1993. Additionally, he has written numerous philosophy articles for different journals and has made numerous presentations at philosophy conferences in the United States and several other countries.
