1951 Wins the State Slalom Championship and comes in second in the Cross-country Championship. 1952-1955 While skiing for UVM, he wins UVM’s first National Collegiate Athletic Association Cross-country Ski Championship. 1956 Competes in Olympic Men"s 15km Cross-country Ski, ranked 51st finishing in 0:57:18.7 and Men"s 4x10 km Cross-country Ski Relay, ranked 12th with personal time in the 3rd leg of 0:37:27 and total team time of 2:32:04.
Relay teammates were Ted Farwell, Mack Miller and Marvin Crawford.
1958-1959 Competes on United States Military Biathlon teams. 1959 Wins pre-Olympic North American Biathlon.
1960 Competes in Olympic Men"s 20km Biathlon, ranked 24th with total adjusted time of 1:59:38.2. 1961 Wins United States Championships in 15 km Cross-country Ski and 30 km Cross-country Ski.
1964 Competes in Olympic Men"s 30km Cross-country Ski, ranked 46th finishing in 1:42:57.7 and Men"s 50km Cross-country Ski, ranked 28th finishing in 3:05:06.04.
1968 Competes in Olympic Men"s 15km Cross-country Ski, ranked 55th finishing in 50:37.2 and Men"s 50km Cross-country Ski, ranked 32nd finishing in 2:41:25.2
1970 Retires from skiing and begins work as a ski instructor at the Trapp Family Lodge. Other sports
