Lars Teichmann was born in 1980 in Burgstädt, Mittelsachsen, Germany.
Lars Teichmann developed an interest in art in his early childhood first experimenting with paints. By the age of 12, he tried himself in graffiti as well.
In 2002, Teichmann enrolled at the Universität der Künste, Berlin where he studied Visual Arts under Wolfgang Petrick, Daniel Richter, and Valerie Favre. He received a Master of Arts degree six years later.
After achieving success on the graffiti art scene, Lars Teichmann shifted to painting and established his own studio about the age of twenty.
During his artistic path, Teichmann has exhibited nationally and internationally, including Italy, the Czech Republic, and Poland. He took part in the 54th Venice Biennale. Teichmann was among the founders of the artistic network ‘Codex-Berlin’.
Lars Teichmann has shown himself as a musician as well. In that capacity, he has issued collections of experimental music under pen-name TSOLT. He has also collaborated with many of his fellows in the area, including Stephen O’Malley and Oliver Koletzki.
Nowadays, Lars Teichmann lives and works in Berlin.
Lars Teichmann is an accomplished artist whose semi-abstract paintings are recognized nationally and internationally.
Teichmann has been a recipient of the Under 30 Euromobil Award at 2009 Arte Fiera in Bologna, Italy. A year later, he was a fellow of the Senatstipendium Berlin für Bildende Kunst.
Teichmann’s canvases can be found in such collections as Italy SØR Rusche Sammlung, the Berlinische Galerie, Hugo, and Carla Brown collection, Museum für konkrete Kunst Ingolstadt, Kunstpalais Erlangen, and Collezione Euromobil di Falze di Piave, Italy.
