Laura Cohn

Laura Cohn was born on August 22, 1930, in London. She is the daughter of Wells Coates, an architect and designer, and Marion (Grove) Coates.

Education

Laura Cohn attended Sorbonne in 1950. She also received a Master of Arts degree at the University of St. Andrews in 1953.

Career

Laura Cohn began her career as an editor at Bodley Head in 1953. In 1965 she was appointed as an assistant editor of Clarendon Press. She worked there till 1969, becoming a senior lecturer at Oxford Polytechnic. In 1988 Laura began her writing career.
