(This book features nine professional artists who are all ...)
This book features nine professional artists who are all respected practitioners specializing in watercolours, their work representing a wide variety of styles, subject matter and techniques. By sharing their knowledge and providing insights into their working methods, these artists offer the amateur painter the opportunity to learn and benefit from their combined experience. In the masterclasses eight artists discuss their ideas and sources of inspiration, explain their choice of materials and how they achieve striking effects with them, and describe the wide range of techniques that they use. Each masterclass is illustrated with watercolours showing the characteristic style of the artist and featuring a range of subjects from birds, flowers and mountains to portraits and landscapes.
