Lawrence Gaughan

He was the Democratic nominee for the 5th District of Virginia, and ran against Robert Hurt in the 2014 election, garnering almost 73,500 votes. Lawrence was born in Charlottesville, Virginia on November 19, 1966 to Margery and Lawrence Doctorate. Gaughan. He has an older half brother, Benjamin Gaston.
Lawrence graduated from Albemarle High School in 1985.
He went on to complete a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre at the University of Montana, and an Master of Arts in Social Entrepreneurship and Change at Pepperdine University"s Graduate School of Education. He is currently running for Albemarle County Board of Supervisors in the Rivanna District.
