Education

Lawrence graduated from Wayne State University with his B.A. in 1969 and received his J.D. in 1972.

Career

Lawrence worked as law clerk and associate of Gerald M. Lorence, Detroit, MI in 1971-1973. He was an associate at Weingarden & Hauer, Berkley, MI in 1973-1974 and at Goldstein & Raznick, Warren, MI in 1974-1976. Then he was a partner at Goldstein, Raznick & Katz, Warren, MI from 1977 to 1978. Since 1978 he has a private practice of law in Sterling Heights, MI. Katz was a special investigator at Attorney Grievance Commission between 1977 and 1980. Since 1987 he was chairperson of Hearing Panel of the Attorney Discipline Board. Since 1986 he was a domestic relations mediator at Macomb County Circuit Court. Katz served as a director of Civic Searchlight, Inc. from 1993 to 1995. He is also a performer in radio and television commercials.

Achievements

• Lawrence received the Award of Appreciation from State Bar of Michigan in Family Law Section in 1990.
