Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, LeFever has an undergraduate degree in Business from Appalachian State University and a Masters of Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina. As of July 2013, Common Craft has produced more than 50 educational videos, that have collectively received more than 25 million views on YouTube and dotSUB. LeFever writes and provides the voice-over for Common Craft"s videos. LeFever is often credited with founding the explainer video industry.
In 2012, LeFever wrote The Art of Explanation: Making your Ideas, Products, and Services Easier to Understand.
