He received multiple supporting roles in television series such as A New Leaf and Sweet, Savage Family. He"s been active as an underground music artist by the name "Heota" and was featured in Block B"s Zico and Park Kyung"s songs. He was also a former trainee of JYP Entertainment before entering Cube Entertainment.

Minhyuk returned under the name "Heota" as he featured as a rapper in Postmen"s "I"m Oklahoma" that was released in July 14, 2015. Minhyuk is also known as one of the best idol-athletes in the industry as his impressive skills when it comes to sports are acknowledged on Idol Star Athletics Championships in which idols compete in different fields of sport.
Lee Minhyuk together with fellow members of BtoB, Seo Eunkwang, Lim Hyunsik, Jung Ilhoon, and former BtoB member Lee Minwoo (now ex C-Clown member TK). On March 21, 2012, Minhyuk made his debut as a member of boy-group BTOB with their debut track "Insane".
