Career
After a period as a lecturer in immunology at the University of London and study at Ridley Hall, Cambridge he was ordained a priest in 1994. His career began with a curacy at Woodford after which he was Priest in Charge of Street Peter"s Furze Platt and finally (before his ordination to the episcopate) Area Dean of Maidenhead. As suffragan Bishop of Swindon, he was installed at Bristol Cathedral on 18 June 2005.
