Achievements include research in ability of regenerating brittlestarsto take-up and utilize dissolved amino acids from surrounding seawater, echinoderm regeneration, showed use of internal nutrients early in regeneration and external sources later and rapid tissue regeneration accounts for a high proportion of secondary production in soft bottom benthic communities.
