She began a practice in her hometown but relocated to Oklahoma City in 1908. She became an instructor at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1910. In 1915, she became an associate professor at the school.
In 1920, Andrews and Anna Weld of Illinois became the first two women elected to the American College of Physicians. Andrews later practiced hematology at Oklahoma City"s Saint Anthony Hospital.
Served as; Fellow American College Physicians (1st woman so selected), American Medical Association. Member Oklahoma State and County medical associations, Association for Study of Internal Secretions, Southern Medical Association, Daughters of American Revolution (since 1904), Alpha Epsilon Iota (president grand chapter 1923-1925).
