Leland Carroll Staven, American Art educator. Member Georgia State Poetry Society.


Staven, Leland Carroll was born on December 17, 1933 in Milwaukee. Son of Herbert Ernest and Leona Marion (Travnick) Staven.


Bachelor of Fine Arts, University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, 1956; Master of Fine Arts, California College Arts and Crafts, 1959.


Chairman art department Berry College, Rome, 1960-1968, Mercer University, Atlanta, 1968-1969. Director Dalton Galleries, associate professor art Agnes Scott College, Decatur, Georgia, 1969-1989. Appointed Georgia Commission on the Arts, 1967-1972.

Judge Legacy of Arts Exhibition, Cartersville, Georgia, 2006.
