His biggest hit, a cover version of the big band standard "Since I Fell for You," reached number 4 on United States. Billboard Hot 100 in 1963. His other hits included "Ebb Tide" in 1964, that was featured in the film Sweet Bird of Youth. He also recorded the first vocal version of "A Taste of Honey" in 1962.
He also performed the theme to the 1967 Columbia Broadcasting System television series Coronet Blue.

Lenny"s recording of "Since I Fell Foreign You" on the Cadence Label in 1964 became one of the nation"s biggest records, selling over one million copies, and has been featured in several motion picture and television shows. His other hits include "You Don"t Know Maine", "Ebb Tide", "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do" and "Two Different Worlds.".
