Lenore Rinder was born on November 20, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois, United States. She is the daughter of Irwin Daniel and Ruth (Schnapper) Rinder.
Rinder graduated from Macalester College in 1973. She also graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, specializing in painting and filmmaking, in 1986.
Rinder started her career as a video producer of the Kidz Biz news shows at Warner Cable Company in 1992. She worked there for 6 years, until she went to Ethan Allen School for Boys, where she held the position of visual communication teacher till 2011.
Since 2000, Rinder works as a freelance artist and produces personal, independent videos in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
During her career, Rinder earned a grant for an animated film project from the Jerome Foundation in 1983, Arts Midwest grant for Billboard Home Street Home in 1992 and a grant for published a photo documentary ballet book.
She is also known as the author of 3 children's books and of a number independent videos.
