Education
In 1937 together with his mother was forced to leave Voronezh. He spent his childhood in Maloarkhangel'sk, Oryol region.
He graduated from the history Department of the Kursk state pedagogical Institute (1959).
Career
Worked at schools of Maloarkhangelsky district, in the Maloarkhangel'sk, in the offices of the regional newspaper "Orlovsky Komsomolets", "Orlovskaya Pravda".
His works were published in the magazine "Nash Sovremennik", "Molodaya Gvardiya", almanac "Druzhba".
Author of 18 books of prose and poetry, including "Berestyanye pesni" (Moscow, 1973), "Perepelinoe pole" (Moscow, 1980), "Sheptun-trava" (Tula, 1982), "Kormiltsy" (Tula, 1986). The author and performer of songs to the verses by A. Koltsov, I. Nikitin, A. Zhigulin, A. Prasolov.
Now he lives in Orel.
