Career

He first competed in the decathlon, placing fourteenth at the 2000 World Junior Championships and winning the gold medal at the 2002 World Junior Championships. He then concentrated on the pole vault. He was qualified for the 2004 Olympic Games, but did not start in the event.

He then no-heighted at the 2005 and 2007 World Championships.

Achievements

• At the 2006 Asian Games he won the silver medal. His personal best jump is 5.65 metres, achieved in May 2008 in Tashkent.
