Borodin, Leonid was born in 1938.
A founder-member of the AllRussian Union for the Liberation of Russian People, active at Leningrad University during the 1960s. Served his first term in Vladimir prison, 1967-1973, for membership of this student group which discussed freedom in a religious context. Wrote The Miracle and the Grief, 1983, a fairy tale set in Siberia, a political parody which caused his second arrest and term in a labour camp.
His second book. The Third Truth, was translated into French, and a third book, Partings, was published in London in 1987. He was released 25 June 1987.
