Career
From age of seven worked with a team of acrobats under the leadership of his father. Performed in the ’’Icarus Games” number. From 1925 worked with performing animals (horses, camel, dogs, monkeys, parrots, etc).
Included in his program Russian folk elements, wearing Russian folk dress (shirt, breeches, high boots). His technique with animals was unconstrained, natural and often funny. Introduced comic episodes (races with dogs dressed as jockeys.
