1931 graduate Directing Faculty, State Institute of Cinematography, Moscow.
From 1929 worked at “Kul’turfil’m” Studios, Moscow. From 1932 directed documentary films. From 1935 directed “Pioneriya”, “Union Film Journal” and “Daily News” film chronicles.
1941-1945 worked for various frontline film groups. After World War 2 traveled abroad, making documentaries on the life of other peoples. Productions: films: Komsomoliya (Communist Youth League Life) (1929).
