Leonid Sitov is a graduate of the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (1983-1988). His specialty is the director of legitimate theatre.
After graduation, Leonid Savelevich worked as a director in the All-Union Directorate for the preparation of circus programs, attractions and performances "Soiuzgostsirk" (1988-1994). At that time, a number of circus acts were released: "Comic Illusion" by Y. Ishmukhametov, "At the fair" by S. Ignatov, "The game of badminton" by S. Kaznacheev, and the clown group "A", who later became the Laureate of the All-Russian Competition of Circus Artists and the Silver prize-winner of the "Circus of Tomorrow" competition in Paris in 1994.
In 1994-1996 Leonid Sitov became the director of the tour organization department of the State Company "Rossiiskii tsirk" (now Rosgostsirk), where he arranged tours of the artistic collective of the company: more than 2000 performances in Russia and abroad. Since 1996 he is deputy director for creative work of the Center for Circus Arts.
Leonid Savelevich took part in staging mass festivities: Days of the City, "Week of Mercy", Festival "Golden Fleece" (Sochi). In 1994 and 1996 as a director, Leonid Sitov participated in staging the New Year performances at the Luzhniki Sport Palace.
During the closing ceremony of the celebration of the 850th anniversary of Moscow, he was invited as a director of circus performances.
