Career

Bar, 1879, and began practice at Knightstown. Prosecuting attorney 18th Judicial District of Indiana, 1884-1888. Member Indiana Senate, 1892-1902.

Member firm Newby & Newby. President Citizens National Bank, Knightstown Gas Company. Resigned various other corporation offices upon election, 1922, as Grand Master Grand Encampment K.T. of the United States and outlying possessions, also Cuba and Mexico.
