Career
They are the 2013 MNNT Cup champions, 2015 Bavarian Open bronze medalists, and four-time Bulgarian national champions. Leri Kenchadze and Elizaveta Makarova were first ever pair from Bulgaria to land a triple throw jumps and triple twist successfully at European and World Championships. Since 2015, August Leri Kenchadze retired from professional sport.
Currently he works in Denmark - Skøjteklub København as head coach.
Leri Kenchadze was born 16 August 1986 in Tbilisi, Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic, Soviet Union, the twin brother of Georgi Kenchadze. He has competed for Bulgaria throughout his career.
He was a single skater through the 2005-2006 season. Kenchadze began competing in pair skating in the 2006-2007 season, partnering Nina Ivanova.
In 2009-2010, he skated with Alexandra Goncharuk, placing seventh at the 2009 North Rhine-Westphalia Trophy and second at the Bulgarian Championships.
The following season, he partnered Alexandra Malakhova. In 2011, Kenchadze teamed up with Elizaveta Makarova. The pair trains in Sofia, coached by Hristo Turlakov and formerly, Andrei Lutai.
They have competed at four European Championships and three World Championships.
