Career
On 15 February 2016, she reached her best singles ranking of world number 186. On 21 December 2015, she peaked at world number 170 in the doubles rankings. In July 2013, Kerkhove made her Women's Tennis Association tour main draw debut at the Swedish Open.
After coming through all three qualifying rounds, she lost to Nina Bratchikova in round one.
Partnering Richèl Hogenkamp, she also lost in the first round of doubles to Alexandra Dulgheru and Flavia Pennetta, who went on to become the tournament runners-up. Singles (3–10)
