Background
He was born the third son of Alfred Milner Densley and Emily Densley of Torrens Road, Woodville.

He was educated at Woodville Public School, later farmed near Keith.
He was elected as a Liberal candidate to the Legislative Council for the Southern district in April 1944 and held it until 1967. In 1953 he was elected one of the Government appointees to the University of Adelaide council. He served as President of the South Australian Legislative Council from 1962.
They had one son, Harold Milner Densley, who married Margaret Jean Harris on 28 February 1942.
He fought in France in World War I, and was awarded the Military Medal in 1918.
He was a longtime member of the Tatiara District Council also of the Keith Agricultural Bureau.
