Leslie Pack Kaelbling

Education

She was a graduate of Stanford University (Doctor of Philosophy, 1990) and a student of Nils J. Nilsson.

Career

Her research focuses on decision-making under uncertainty, machine learning, and sensing with applications to robotics. In 2000, she was elected as a Fellow of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence.

Achievements

• On March 16, 2012, Kaelbling was selected as an Massachusetts Institute of Technology MacVicar Fellow for her dedication to undergraduate teaching. As a recipient of this prestigious award, Kaelbling will receive a $10,000 annual stipend for the duration of the 10-year fellowship.
