1924 began teaching and research work. 1925-1947 worked at Institute of World Economy and World Politics, Communist Academy (from 1936 Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences). 1930-1938 worked at Higher Diplomatic School, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
1939-1943 correspondent member, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences. 1940-1941 worked at Lenin Military—Polit Academy. From 1943 worked at Institute of International Relations.
1946 adviser to Soviet deleg, Paris Peace Conference. From 1948 head Section of British Empire Countries, Institute of Economy, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences.
