1921 graduated Medical Faculty, Moscow University.
Member, since 1942 board member, 1942-1950 Chairman, Moscow Society of Dermatologists and Venerologists. Former Editor, now Deputy Editor, “Dermatology” and “Venerology” sections, “Bolshaya meditsinskaya entsiklopediya” (Large Medical Encyclopedia), 2nd edition. Member, Editorial Board, “Vestnik venerologii i dermatologii” (Herald of Venerology and Dermatology).
Chairman, State Control Commission for Testing Salvarsan Preparations. Defined epidermophytosis of the feet and concomitant secondary skin reactions. Developed original classification of epidermophytosis and isolated a new abortive form of that disease.
Developed theory of secondary skin reactions in pyodermia and suggested they be ca ed “pyoallergides”. Systematized and classified clinical forms of chronic trichophytosis of the skin and suggested common name “chronic adult tripophytosis”. Developed classification of paratraumatic skin lesions and classification of trichobasalomata.
Described rare and new forms of dermatosis. Anetodermia, spinulous parakeratosis of the palms and soles, summer form of congenital herpes, Gilchrist blastomycosis, annularmigrating erythema, kerionous hard chancre, vegetative form of exudative erythema, late tuberculoid leishmaniasis, etc. Introduced new methods of treating skin diseases and clarified the role of vitamins in dermatology.
Works deal with dermatology and venerology.
