1904-1908 professor, Yur’yev University. 1908-1911 professor, Kiev Polytech Institute. Resigned in protest against policies of Education Minister Kasso.
1911-1913 lectured at Bestuzhev Women's Courses and at Psychoneurological Institute, Saint St. Petersburg. 1913-1914 professor, Yekaterinoslav (now Dnepropetrovsk) Mining Institute (from 1918 University). From 1927 foundcr-director, Ukraine Institute of Physiochemistry (now Pisarzhevskiy Institute of Physiochemistry, Ukraine Academy of Sciences).
1929-1934 also worked at Tbilisi Polytech Institute. Studied structure and properties of peroxides and per acids, effect of solvent on the chemical balance and free energy of reactions. Used electron theory to tackle basic problems of chemistry.
Postulated now generally accepted ideas on the role of electrons in chemical processes and on redox reactions as electron transfer processes.
Religious faith contradicts people’s efforts to obtain the truth about nature and a human being.
Marxism–Leninism as the only truth could not, by its very nature, become outdated.
