Career

A back row forward, he currently plays his club rugby for Newport Gwent Dragons having previously played for Ebbw Vale and Newport Reconstruction Finance Corporation. He has represented Wales at every age group level and the Wales national rugby union team (sevens) squad in 2007. In November 2011 Evans was named in the senior Wales training squad for the match versus Australia on 3 December 2011. In July 2012, Newport Gwent Dragons named Evans as their captain for the upcoming season, replacing the departing Luke Charteris.
