Mathews Railey DeCubellis & Goodwin was formed in 1990 by the litigation partners of a large Orlando general practice firm. Initially focused exclusively on trial practice, the firm's scope expanded in 1991 to add real estate and business transactions when Dan DeCubellis joined the firm. David Goodwin joined the firm in 1995, bringing extensive experience as lead trial counsel in multiple fields of litigation in all state and federal courts, ranging from personal injury and commercial litigation to complex insurance, consumer products and transportation issues, on both sides of the docket.
All principals in the firm are recognized as specialists in their areas of practice. The firm employs a hands-on approach to assist companies and individuals with optimal results and efficiency. The firm is involved in a wide variety of matters, ranging from current representation of Orange County as outside trial counsel in a substantial dispute involving exercise of local governmental power to representation of a publicly-traded company in a nationwide class action.
In the recent past, members of the firm represented an Orlando-based Fortune 500 company as lead counsel in the successful defense of a hostile takeover action considered the largest matter ever tried in Central Florida. Mr. Railey actively participates as a mediator in State and Federal Courts.
