Lim Kyung-Wan

Career

Upon graduating from Inha University, Lim joined the Lotte Giants in 1998, selected in the first round of the 1998 KBO Draft. As a relief pitcher he garnered attention in 2004 when led the KBO league in holds with 22. In the 2008 season, Lim became the closer of the Giants.

Due to his "dramatic" closing games, Giants fans started to call him the notorious nickname, Lim jakka (Author Lim).

Lim finally lost the closer"s role to former Rockies setup man David Cortés in August 2008.

Achievements

• During the season, however, he never overwhelmed hitters as a closer, struggling to save his team"s win in the leading situation being able to earn a save.
