In 1968 Lindroth earned a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Douglas College in New Brunswick, New Jersey, United States. In 1979 she studied in Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, United States. She received a Master of Fine Arts degree. She has studied with Garry Winogrand, Peter Bunnell, Leon Golub and John Goodyear.
From 1968 to 1969 Linda was an advertising copywriter for WCTC Radio in New Brunswick, Canada. In 1969 she became a Harcourt art editor. She held this position unitil 1972.
From 1973 to 1974 Linda worked as a picture researcher at the publishers Rinehart and Winsto, and Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, and Holt from 1974 to 1977.
Since 1972 Linda is a freelance photographer. Also, she was a teaching assistant at Douglas College in New Westminster, Canada from 1977 to 1979.
The photographer's early work was in small format documentary pictures, but as of this writ- ing she uses medium format for urban and social landscapes and "a series of psychological por- traits including narrative statements" (the latter blown up to 4 x 5 feet on photolinen).
On May 26, 1968 Linda was married to David George Lindroth. They divorced in March, 1985. In a year she married to Craig David Newick. They have a child, Zachary Eran Newick.
