Linda Olson was born on January 21, 1949 in Cleveland, Ohio, United States, into the family of Richard S. and Susan (Simun) Steffel.

Education

Linda Steffel Olson studied at Wittenberg University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) in 1970. In 1975 Linda earned a Master of Arts at the Ohio State University.

Career

Since 1991 Olson has been working for Johns Hopkins University as a senior research assistant and holds that position till now. She also contributes her scientific articles in numerous periodicals and journals. Together with D. R. Entwisle and K. A. Alexander she co-authored a book Children, Schools, and Inequality.
