She graduated from Stanford University in 1971 with a degree in visual art
Career
She has recorded more than 13 albums beginning with her first in 1977. In 2015 she released her 14th album, Hometown Girl (Franklin Point Music). Her parents (both musicians) discouraged her from a musical career.
She moved to Seattle, Washington, in 1975 and has toured nationally since 1983.
She is a breast cancer survivor.
