Lindsey Leavitt

Background

Lindsey Taylor was born in August 1980 and grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Education

Leavitt attended Bonanza High School where she met her former husband and graduated in 1998. She later went on to attend Brigham Young University where she studied to be an elementary school teacher.

Career

Life and early career

She is the second of five children and has stated that she enjoyed being a teenager. While pregnant, Leavitt wrote what would later become Sean Griswold"s Head, stating that her pregnancy accounted for the emotional ride of the novel. Writing career

Leavitt has currently published six books and has a new series titled Commander in Cheese, with the first book slated for release in 2016.

She is also working on a book with fellow author, Robin Mellom which is to be released in February of 2016.

Achievements

• Leavitt has also won numerous awards for her books including the YALSA Best Fiction for Young Adults 2012 award to Sean Griswold"s Head.
