Mattioli, Lino was born on August 23, 1853 in Parma, Italy. Son of Salvatore and Rachele (Silvani) Mattioli.

Education

Educated Royal Conservatory of Music, Parma. Came to America in 1884.

Career

Began musical career as solo cellist. Began to give voice instruction at Milano, 1875. Played quartet with J. Joachim at concert in Milan Conservatory of Music, 1883.

1st cellist at opening of Metropolitan Opera House, New York, 1884. Professor singing, College of Music, Cincinnati, since 1885. Member Am, Academy Teachers of Singing.
