Lisa Buttenheim

She was appointed to the post by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on 2 June 2010. She has extensive experience with the United Nations in political affairs and peacekeeping. Buttenheim replaces Tayé-Brook Zerihoun of Ethiopia, who held the same function from May 2008 to April 2010.
