After graduating from Handsworth Secondary School in North Vancouver, she became part of Stanford University"s gymnastics team and completed medical school at University of British Columbia in Vancouver. In 2014 she completed her residency training in orthopaedic surgery at the University of British Columbia and in August of 2014 started a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedic surgery at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, Texas.
