Zheng was born in Blitar, Indonesia on April 3, 1989.

Zheng attended elementary and middle school in Indonesia, and while working on her stunt career, Zheng attended the Western Academy of Beijing. After graduating from the Western Academy, Zheng attended the University of Washington, where she earned her bachelor"s degree in economics in two and a half years, and was inducted into the International Economics Honor Society. She is currently a Master"s candidate at the University of Southern California"s School of Cinematic Arts.
At the age of four, she and her family moved to Jakarta, Indonesia. Zheng has one younger brother, Ken who is also involved with film and martial arts Livi started her career in stunts.
Zheng directed, produced, starred in and did stunt work for, which was shot in 2013 in Seattle, Washington and Los Angeles, California.
In June 2014, Zheng reassembled her filmmaking team from to shoot the Los Angeles-set martial arts thriller, starring Tony Todd, John Savage, Ken Zheng, Keith David, Madeline Zima and Sean Patrick Flannery.
Zheng represented Washington State's Karate team during her college years and won more than 25 medals and trophies for regional as well as national competition throughout the United States. Zheng won competitions ranging from 2009 United States Open, Orlando, 36th Annual Shorinryu Open Karate Championships, to 2010 Washington State Karate Federation Invitational Tournament and United States of America National Karate Federation Qualifier.
