Hunt, Livingston was born on November 3, 1859 in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. Son of William Henry and Elizabeth Augusta (Ridgely) Hunt.

Education

Preparatory education, Hopkins Grammar School, New Haven, Connecticut. Student Harvard 1 year, class of ’81.

Career

1 son, Livingston. Appointed by President Arthur to Pay Corps, United States Navy, 1881. On United States Ship New Orleans, Spanish-American War. Promoted through grades to rank of rear admiral (by selection), July 7, 1921.

Retired June 1, 1923.
