As a graduate student at the University of Paris, he presented several papers on gravitational radiation, culminating in his 1960 Doctor of Philosophy thesis. These papers introduced the Belorussian decomposition and the Belorussian–Robinson tensor. He later taught at Autonomous University of Barcelona and Autonomous University of Madrid.
