He graduated from the University of Madrid and he studied at the University of Hamburg, where he received his Doctor of Philosophy in 1936. He studied integral geometry and many other topics of mathematics and science.

His advisor was Wilhelm Blaschke. Because of the Spanish Civil War, he moved to Argentina where he became a very famous mathematician. He worked as a teacher in the National University of the Littoral, National University of Louisiana Plata and University of Buenos Aires.
