Career
In May 1997, Lohan Ratwatte was implicated in the shooting death of Papua New Guinean Rugby player Joel Pera but was subsequently released as insufficient witnesses came forward to provide evidence. He was again exonerated by courts for lack of evidence.
Membership
Lohan Ratwatte"s grandfather Harris Leuke Ratwatte who was former Diyawadana Nilame of Sri Dalada Maligawa, Kandy, He was a member of the State Council in 1936 to 1947 for Kegalle and United National Party Member of Parliament for Mawanella 1947 to 1952. Prior to entering parliament in 2010 he was a member of the Central Provincial Council.
