Structural engineer and superintendent for Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation, Boston, Massachusetts, 1907-1914. Professor architectural engineering and in charge architectural Department, University Illinois, 1914-1948, emeritus.

Cons. on building code, National Board Fire Underwriters, New York. Tech advisor to Illinois fire marshal.

  • Contributor to mags. Rewrote building code for National Board Fire Underwriters, New York, 1943. 1949. Registered architect, structural engineer and professional engineer.

Membership

Member commission appointed to codify the building laws of Seattle, Washington, 1911. Made preliminary estimate and design Keokuk (Iowa) Power house. Fellow American Institute Architects (member board of directors, 1944-1947, and committee on education.
